I have a copy of the 9th for myself and recently gifted a friend with one. Barenreiter isn't cheap, but it really is the best quality both in terms of the accuracy of the edition as well as the physical quality of the score. (Nice, thick paper - and every...

page corresponds with one page in the manuscript: no nested pages!) If you're looking for an authoritative reference that you can have for literally decades, Barenreiter is your choice. Highly recommended for conductors or anyone who would like a large, clear reference. (The study editions are great, but very small!)All in all, you're talking about the 9th here - one of the greatest artistic achievements in the history of the human race: get an edition you can have for years and pass down to future music lovers. In other words, get Barenreiter. Routine buyer here.
