I've got more of these play-along titles than I'd care to count. For the most part, they provide accurate transcriptions and reasonable value for money. Unfortunately, the first song I've looked at in this book is "The Joker". I'm not sure what version of the...

song the transcriber was listening to, but I've only ever heard the solo being performed as a slide piece. I was following along using a slide but could tell it wasn't right by the offset double stop fret positions. The book uses standard tuning. The real solo sounds like slide using an open tuning. A quick search of the web and sure enough, there was a demo using Open E which sounded much more like the record. If I am going to the trouble of buying TAB transcriptions, I want the correct tuning (open or otherwise). Please transcribers (Hal Leonard) don't just convert everything to a standard tuning that doesn't sound authentic. There is too much competition on the web these days.
