These twisters are more fun than doing the twist with Chubby Checkers.

I bought this to mix up our warm-ups a little. A lot of the kids like it. Some get frustrated b/c they can't get it right even though most are repeated 5-7 times in ascending or descending keys. I like most of them. A few of...

them really aren't tongue twisters. I do like the music with the majority of them. I would definately recommed this to other w/ Elem. or Middle School choirs.

  • August 20, 2008 Good with my choir

This worked great with my choir-all adults. We do a few twisters each rehearsal as part of our warm-up. It's fun and effective and makes us feel like kids again. Lots of laughing because some of these are tough!

  • September 12, 2007 I Loved this book!

Brian Kane's "Singing Tongue Twister's A-Z" is a MUST HAVE for music teachers. As an elementary music specialist and choral director, I am constantly looking for vocal warm-ups which will improve students' diction and vocal technique. Brian's warm-ups challenge young singers to exaggerate consonants...

so that their voices find their natural resonance. The sing-along CD is a fantastic model with a single male and female voice. My students' favorites are 'Chester Cheetah' and '999 Indiana Nuns.' If they had their way, they would create a concert program with tongue twister warm ups alone! I Love this book!

  • September 12, 2007 Fantastic!

What a great idea! This book is a blast, fun to sing, and really challenging. The twisters are all short..like one line, but then they move up in half steps while you're singing. I put the CD on and use them as warm-ups. Some of them are...

really tough, some aren't so bad. It's a really fun way to warm-up and I like the CD.
