Henry Fillmore's Rolling Thunder is a great circus march, as breathtaking in its excitement as the action feats in the center ring. Calvin Custer takes this terrific march classic and reduces just the technical demands. Now your band can smell the sawdust and have all the fun. On with the show! (2:12).

The speed and all the moving parts in this piece are awesome. I think its a very good piece very good for brass players and their double tounging.

I bet our band director wants it at 184. The T-bones have a lot of work. Wonderful song, I love it a lot.

  • April 29, 2006 Awesome song

If played well, Rolling Thunder has the potential to be a great piece. It is VERY fast: The principle trombonist in our band admitted that he flutter tongues through the song. AMAZING if played well!!!
