  • February 14, 2008 The best training book I have used

I have played piano, guitar and banjo for a number of years and have many training books/CD's/DVD's. This one by Gindick is absolutely the best I have used. Harmonica is not easy and this guy knows how to cut through the learning curve plus he injects...

a lot of humor which makes it fun. I have just bought more of his training tools and they are all equally good.

Gindick brings as much energy to this work as he does when you meet him in person. He's a very good instructor. I have been playing harmonica for 30 years, and teaching harmonica for less than 2 years. I found this to be the only book I am going...

to recommend to my students. The theories are easy to understand. The consistency of the lessons is very concrete. Beginners who dedicate themselves to the teachings within this book alone will have no difficulty getting up and wailing in very little time. If you have any doubts, just attend one of Gindick's Harmonica Jam Camps. You can see for yourself how well his students do too.

  • October 10, 2002 An Incredible Journey Into Your Talent

Jon Gindick is one of the best harmonica players I have ever heard. He is also an incredible writer and teacher as Rock n' Blues Harmonica shows. I started playing with this book and cd a few months ago and have already joined a band. I have several standing ovations...

for my playing on stage. I owe every bit of this to Jon Gindick, and his website at Harmonicacentral.com. Jon has several other cds and lessons for beginning through intermediate. I cannot recommend his stuff highly enough.

I highly recommend this Book/CD combination to anyone wanting to learn the Harp. It starts with an easy to understand section on Music Theory and relates the progression through the different disciplines in a way even I can understand.... You wont regret this one.

  • September 23, 2001 a must for every blues or country harper

I played around with straight harp for many years before learning about cross harp . Jon's book can take you further, faster than any I've seen. He has worked very hard at creating an excellent tutelage, at a truly bargain price. I can't wait for his next volume...
