Another anthem designed for more modest church choirs, this piece gives smaller ensembles a celebratory and triumphant declaration of the Resurrection. Modal throughout, with fanfare-type proclamations from the piano, the choral writing uses unison/octave sonorities for their heraldic effect and contrasts those with quieter, smooth four part writing and richly exotic Alleluias. It all culminates in a stirringly triumphant and joyful ending.
