Very good book, very nice arrangements. The book actually represents the music played by the orchestra live within reason, it is not just a score written around the vocal melodies. Many of these songs are pretty tricky to reduce into a piano score, but they do a nice job. They...

even give some additional instrument cues in parts where there is no way to cover it all on the piano. My only disappointment was that many good songs were not included. Of course no matter what songs got cut you could say that. All the songs included are very good. This is definately a cut above most compilation books.

This book is NOT for beginers, but sounds absolutely glorious when performed well. Both the piano and vocal parts are challenging and beautiful, with great solos and duets. This music is fun to play even without anyone singing.

"Ragtime" for me will forever be an all-time favorite; to be listened to when I need to hear music I immediately appreciate.
