This suite was composed for symphony orchestra in 1923, depicts various places throughout Rome, where pine trees grow. That this piece is still a masterpiece when arranged for harmony band shows the quality of arranger, Ton van Grevenbroek. The 4 consecutive movements are titled I Pini di Villa Borghese, Pini presso una Catacomba, I Pini del Gianicolo and I Pini della Via Appia. The second and fourth movements can be ordered separately.
