My favorite Christmas song!
I'm not a professional singer but I have been in an audition choir, where I was introduced to this obscure gem of a piece. It's complex and has a lot of moving parts that aren't synchronized. This makes it a little difficult to learn but the result is stunning. The lyrics are spare and mostly repetitive because the focus is on the music. Correct use of dynamics in this song will really pack a punch. I recommend this to anyone who wants to spice up their Christmas program or performance with a novel, stunningly beautiful and up-tempo piece and isn't afraid of a little challenge!
