It is already dark and as she heads home, a pair of eyes are on her. We see that it is Kai (bass). She becomes nervous and begins to step quickly, he pursues her to a deserted alley. But instead of a crime occurring, the two passionately kiss. They leave to find a private place to be together. The scene changes to a cheap hotel room, and the couple has just finished making love. Mariana expresses how she has missed him, and he to her. They kiss again, and sing of their love and attraction for each other. Then Mariana tells Kai that she has just come from the old wise woman of the market. She has a potion and they must drink it in for Dongbu's favor to right the conflict. Kai disagrees and says that no potion is better than leaving her current life to be with him. Mariana stubbornly clings to the situation and cannot leave her life of comfort to be with him, no matter how he is suffering without her. She she's that she is late and must go. Mariana puts the last of her allowance in Kai's hand to ease his poverty. He refuses, but she insists. And it's 'Until the see each other again, farewell.'.
