Willson review I have been teaching for 15 years, and this warm up is the most complete, user-friendly, full ensemble warm up on the market. As an adjudicator, when I hear a band warm up on stage, and I recognize a choral from this warm up, I know many...

details, including a focus on note length and pitch have gone into preparing the band, As a K - 12 public school band director, I need a warm up that efficiently warms up, develops, and then refines every skill necessary for my groups to produce sound that is as professional as possible.

As written, the band can cover a thorough warm up in around 8 minutes; or the director can take longer by adding more articulation...

patterns or emphases as needed and as rehearsal time allows. I used this for several years with high school bands and had positive consistent results; I also have seen it help bands of all levels from intermediate to collegiate.

  • August 24, 2010 Fantastic!

I have used this with 6th -12th grade students for years. Even though I have tried I have found nothing better. In 5-10 minutes, the band can warm-up, stretch, build strength and flexibility, work technical facility, blend balance and tone quality. Cuts right to it and gets the...

  • August 22, 2010 Great Teaching Tool

I highly recommend this warm-up! It is a great teaching tool and can be used on a daily basis for grades 8-12. It focuses on tone, technique, blend and balance, and dynamics all in one very playable format.
