    Jackie Robertson (Wirral Singers)

    Difficulty Level:
  • June 28, 2008 Shearing magic in a song.

A wonderful, lively jazz setting of Shakespeare's words, for SA and keyboard, in the style of George Shearing, the great jazz pianist. Very different from Rutter's usual English settings, (always beautiful but sometimes rather staid). The direction is "Nonchalant", which really sums up this most tuneful and catchy...

    song - a real concert party-piece. Brilliant!
