Composed by Steven Griffin. Contemporary. Score and parts. 11 pages. Steven Griffin #2026703. Published by Steven Griffin (A0.877879).

In Nomine was commissioned by Hector Scott and Shinobu Miki for their "Two's Company" series of chamber concerts in Glasgow. The title refers to the way in which the musical material was found "in the name of" Hector and Shinobu (a fuller description of the compositional method is in the score). In Nomine was described by Kenneth Walton writing in The Scotsman newspaper as "alluring contemporary sounds, an interesting and imaginative theme and variations". Though at times technically challenging, In Nomine is lyrical and dramatic and is well suited to the concert platform and student recitals. In Nomine has been popular with violin/clarinet duets around the world.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
