SATB choir, Adults with children, organ accompaniment - Beginning

SKU: GI.G-6360

Composed by John Ferguson. Edited by Pearl Shangkuan. Calvin Institute. Sacred. Octavo. 12 pages. GIA Publications #6360. Published by GIA Publications (GI.G-6360).

UPC: 785147636007. English. Text Source: Psalm 139:13–16, para. Debra Rienstra. Text by Debra Rienstra. Scripture: Psalm 139:13–16.

The depth of Psalm 139 (“You knit me together in my mother’s womb…”) is captured in this remarkable setting. The SATB adult choir contrasts beautifully with the simplicity of the unison children’s choir (or treble solo), which returns to the refrain, “I praise you God, your works are wonderful!” Thorough and effective registrations are indicated for the organ, as you would expect from a Ferguson composition.
