SKU: EC.1-3374

Composed by Connor Koppin. Bestseller. Secular, 21st century. Octavo. Galaxy Music Corporation #1.3374. Published by Galaxy Music Corporation (EC.1-3374).

ISBN 600313133749. UPC: 600313133749. English. Text: e.e. cummings.

Connor Koppin's setting of i carry your heart with me (i carry it in by E. E. Cummings (1894-1962) uses only a few short lines from the source poem in a mantra-like fashion. The phrase,"i carry your heart with me" is repeated a number of times using different textures, harmonies, and voices, thus re-enforcing the idea of intertwining two souls into one. Men's and women's voices are often at odds in this setting and come together only in moments of absolute unity. c. 5:37.
