An original hymn with text by Richard Hales below.
All year let's celebrate the birth
Of Jesus’ visit to this earth.
He came to do His Father’s will,
A special mission to fulfill.
He lived a life devoid of sin.
He asked us only, follow Him.
His goal was peace in place of strife.
For us He wants Eternal Life.
Â
He suffered pain for you and me,
That from our sins we might be free.
That with our hearts we will desire
He lift us out of sin and mire.
Â
He showed the way that we could choose.
He hoped our agency we’d use,
With ears to hear and eyes to see
The godly person we might be.
Â
Let’s choose to follow our dear Lord,
Fight evil with a righteous sword.
Worldly thoughts and actions sever,
Give away our sins forever.
Â
Fulfill our mission on this earth,
Strive for the joy of our rebirth.
All petty actions leave behind,
And give our love to all mankind.
