The horn section of the Berkshire Youth Wind Orchestra took this book on tour with us in the summer. Every second we had a break, or sectionals, we played from this book. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was the most amount of fun our supposedly "mature" section had!!

  • January 12, 2007 My Favorite French Horn Book!

I started playing French Horn about a year and a half ago, and I didn't have and French Horn music books to play just for pleasure. I've always been a HUGE Harry Potter fan, and when I saw this book, I got so excited!I hadn't even...

been playing for a year when I purchased my copy of this book, but since I already knew the tune of almost all the songs in this book, I was able to sight-read the songs in here. I just LOVE being able to play the melody of the songs from my favorite production on my inhstrument, even though French Horns hardly ever get the melody. It's my chance to shine!

  • March 19, 2002 Awesome!

I purchased this for me to play, since I loved the movie and knew french horn had the solo all through the music! I was thrilled to get this, since I have only been playing French Horn a year, but I am extremely far ahead, and wanted a challenge. I...

suggest this for at least 2 years of playing experience- but if you think you are advanced enough to try it at a lesser amout of years- go for it! It sounds great! JUST like the CD!
