My goal is to create something that sounds beautiful as a standalone piece of music, but most importantly, that it actually makes "pianistic" sense. Sometimes I even hide exercises in the arrangements that I want a student to work on. All of my arrangements are usually made for a specific student, so the results will always vary.This arrangement was made for a late intermediate student, Moderately Difficult III, working on Level 5 of the Alfred's Masterwork Classics series. Timing is everything on this piece. I recommend experimenting with the pedal to bring a little more fun and contrast. In other words, less pedal throughout the performance except for adding color and texture. My student chose this piece on a whim for our Halloween event, but as soon as he started learning it, he became addicted and couldn't stop practicing it until he had it down! It really is super fun to play!Pedal and fingering suggestions are included.
