Organ - Difficult

SKU: PL.9810

Composed by Norman Coke Jephcott. General, Patriotic. Sheet music. Paraclete Press #9810. Published by Paraclete Press (PL.9810).

The virtuoso work for organ will be a discovery for concert organists. Based on the tune for "God Save the Queen", it opens with a dramatic toccata with the melody in the pedal, and continues with a beautifully developed fugue. The work closes with a full organ harmonization of the tune. The work is beautifully written for the hands and the feet, but still requires a secure technique. This work will be seen as a fitting successor to the great sets of variations from 19th century composers such as Buck and Paine.
