    This is a really good back for beginning jazz players. Swing eighth notes, scales, chords, rhythm and articulation along with improv all explained simply. Easy play along examples.

    If you want to learn how to swing and to play blues, this book is the ticket. As a beginner, I have taught myself to play St. Louis Blues with the correct jazz articulation. The rhythm studies and scale workouts are very helpful.
