Very good practice book for advancing students and come back players. The play-along CD is a nice benefit

I'm in sixth grade band at my school and we use this book for everything. Some of the songs are intermediate and some are a little more difficult because they have higher notes. But overall a fairly easy book.

Essential Elements 2000 Book 2 is a fabulous tutor book that makes teaching a breeze. I am a trumpet teacher in Melbourne, Australia. All my students have to progress through book one and two of Essential Elements 2000. It covers all the essentials of playing; rhythms, time signatures, styles and...

much more. The accompanying CD's are fantastic, the students really enjoy practicing the material. The book is well paced but challenging taking the students up to an intermediate level of performance. Students gain a sense of achievement as they progress through the book, they can see how much improvement they have made. This book is fun, as a teacher I know that all bases are being covered and that progress is assured. It has a great selection of tunes covering many styles, periods and countries. The best book I have used for years!
