Although it has not been possible to identify the composer of the "Eight Little Preludes and Fugues" Alfred Dürr writes in his preface to this edition "Since the value of a musical work is in no way dependent pm whether the composer is known or not, the hope remains that the delightful and appealing music of the Eight will find enthusiasts in the future despite the fact that they no longer fulfil their former task, namely to introduce 'typically Bachian' elements to the future organists. The Eight definitely have their own value".

Excellent edition of these pieces that have been attributed to J.S. Bach.A true source of pedagogy for the beginning organist and a great introduction to the Baroque style. The print is easy to read and the page layout is very helpful.

The Barenreiter Urtext is a must-have for any organ student who takes scores seriously. Experts may be able to play well from a poorly edited score, but as a student I rely on the Urtext. These pieces, although not Bach, are excellent for pedagogy. They are also exactly the...

right length for church organists who need a voluntary. The quality of the printing, etc., is as good as it gets.
