Composed while Bernhard Heiden served as Assistant Bandmaster for the 445th US Army band during World War II, this first-ever print edition has been carefully edited and adapted with modern instrumentation. The influence of the composer's mentor, Paul Hindemith is evident in the tonal yet nondiatonic harmonies, paired with Heiden's own light and tuneful melodic writing. (Grade 4) Dur: 7:00.
