This piece was commissioned by the choir of Prairie High School in Vancouver, Washington. The piece evokes a joyous and playful scene by a lake where a field of daffodils is blooming. I love the idea of daffodils being a sign of rebirth and hope, as they are some of the first flowers to come up in late winter. It is a good level for an experienced high school choir. The piano accompaniment is a bit more difficult.
