Composed by Arcangelo Corelli (1653 - 1713). Arranged by Pat Spence. Concert,Graduation,Standards. 14 pages. Piper Publications #5726825. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811740).

The first of twelve sonatas for two violins and violone or cembalo published in Rome in 1694 and subsequently published in Bologna and London for 2 violins and cello or harpsichord. The four movements, Preludio; Largo,Corrente ; Allegro, Adagio and Allemande; Presto are for players of equal ability. The arrangement provides an opportunity for a modern woodwind trio of intermediate standard and above to enjoy playing Baroque music together. The original dynamics were rather few. Additional dynamics have been added in parentheses ( ) and a few additional slurs  - dashed lines. Players may also like to add ornaments such as trills and mordants at suitable points.
