Composed by James Van Heusen. Arranged by Petey C. Jazz. Score and parts. 14 pages. Petey C. #3014301. Published by Petey C. (A0.873881).
My personal favourite so far of any of my horn quartet arrangements. This is great for university students and professionals. There are not a lot of horn arrangements out there like this one. This arrangement helps fill a niche for small ensemble in that horn quartet music typically lacks repertoire in most contemporary and jazz genres.
Should be played in the speed and style that you please, and therefore purposefully lacks some dynamic and articulation markings. However, in these dimensions it'd make sense to perform it in a "jazz" idiom, ...whatever you interpret that to mean. Sounds good played up tempo and rhythmically tight and clean. Melody gets passed around. Fun stuff in every part. Score, parts and cover arts included. I hope someone out there tries tries this arrangement and has fun! -PC.
