    I first heard this very pleasant work early 1960,s at a concert in the Speech room at Rugby school, played by a Military band, ( sorry I cannot remember which one) I remembered it well, but since then never heard it performed. I did recently however hear a sample of...

    this work on Classics Online website, this time played brilliantly by the United States Airforce band, needless to say that I bought the CD which also contained other works by American composers. I did purchase the score of Chorale And Alleluia to study and follow during playback, A total experience. My only complaint was that the score was rather difficult to see as some of the layout of staves were too close for visual clarity, but it is still good to have the score to read.
