any in the repertoire, evoking descriptions not usually associated with the guitar: depth, majesty, grandeur, profound spirituality, holiness. Difficult? Very. But also gorgeous, deeply moving and like so much of Bach's unsurpassed canon, infinitely rich and renewable.

This is one of the best transcriptions of the Chaconne for the guitar, done by the great Segovia. The piece itself is wonderful, and it sounds very well on the guitar.
