  • September 09, 2011 Great collection

I very much enjoyed this collection of about twenty quartets, most of them arrangements of show tunes not originally written for barbershop. Such arrangements help keep this genre going. Difficulty ranges from beginner to intermediate/advanced.

  • January 28, 2009 Good anthology... No help

This anthology contains several barbershop quartets, the arrangements are well written, even if the notation is old, the spacing between staves not always optimized, anyway these are songs that must be learnt by memory so the not so good printed page it's not a major problem. What misses is...

a short introduction, some "clue" to help the musician to approach this music. Of course for experienced singers this is not a problem, but I would have prefered some "Introduction" to help in approching this "not so obvious to sing" music.

Good solid barbershop arranging by some of the past notables in the Barbershop Harmony Society. For quartets and choruses, this is a must have.
