Composed by Longstreth, Everett. Arranged by Longstreth, Everett. Jazz. Score and parts. 69 pages. Everett Longstreth #2218129. Published by Everett Longstreth (A0.1010698).
This is a Clarinet feature in the Benny Goodman style and the sax section instrumentation is: Clarinet/A/A/T/T. If the Baritone sax player can play the Clarinet part you are all set. If the solo goes to one of the Alto or Tenor players, then the Bari player must "double" on that instrument. The arrangement is reminiscent of Sing Sing Sing with multiple key changes. The ending is optional. The chart may end "before" the 2 bar repeat. The full ending was written to be humorus. The leader is to believe the chart is over and when he turns to the audience the band keeps repeating the ending, When the leader finally cuts the band off there is a grand pause and as he walks to the microphone and before he can speak the band plays (dictated) the last note. If you do not want to use this ending, stop the chart right before the 2 bar repeat sign. Lead trumpet range is Bb concert.
