Shaw is Mandatory
Artie Shaw's exercises, finger breakers , etc. are a magnificent way to improve your finger technique. Not the old etude stuff, but original and they work.

Artie Shaw's Jazz Technic
This is a great warm up book for any student that would like to get their fingerings accustomed to jazz riffs. It also addresses all major and minor scales reinforcing classical scales as well.
