    Here is a beginning method that is well thought out and executed. The student is challenged without being intimidated. The solos are musical and incorporate well learned skills. I've used the book with good success;and for those band directors married to a band method this book is a...

    good supplement. I guess the only negative is that it can't be used with a band method. The authors have impeccable credentials..... I highly recommend this book.
