The contents of this DVD are very elemenary for an Intermediate player! Does an intermediate player need to be told how to Hold the bow,Tune the violin,, or change a string? Musical notation is elementary and legato bowing is elementary. also there was no demonstration of true spicato bowing...

. To be honest this DVD was too elementary to be described 'Inermediate' For me a complete wast of time !!

this dvd keeps me going every day. i play along with all the songs that are in the 1st 2 books of the abcs of violin. i liked learning spiccato guided by the teacher janice tucker rhoda who is very professional by the way. i can trust what she is...

doing 100% rather than going to youtube and other sources. i use her advice about practicing every day and my progress is much more than i ever expected. if you want to learn violin well i recommend this series over the others. i have many other books and you can't compare the quality, or maybe you can. the others are not as good. this dvd product is a must.

you will be amazed at the playing of the Japanese prodigy violinist!!!! As an adult I am inspired. A child would be ecstatic! Beautiful renditions of the pieces from the ABC's of Violin first two books. The pedagogy is useful, too!
