Fundamentals Of Piano Theory Answer Book
Love the theory books, by this level, I also give them the answer book to check their own work. At this level they know the benefits of actually LEARNING AND KNOWING the theory, so it saves me time having to correct their theory by just letting them have an answer Book. They also know by this level that if they have a problem or dont understand, they just ask me. By this level Ive also stopped assigning pages or units. I just give them the book to do at their own pace. I usually assign up to about mid-level 3. After that, I turn them loose unless the student has problems organizing their time. Only had 1 student so far Ive needed to keep on track, but she was mentally disabled. She loved learning the theory I just moved a bit slower and always did a bit with her until I was sure she understood. She was quite accomplished in theory and amazed all her school teachers!
