A wonderful compilation of duets from Rubank, the two volumes presented here supplement musical development and provide a rich experience for growing musicians. Duet playing is often a student's first form of ensemble experience - technique, tone quality, intonation and balance are introduced as students do one of the things they enjoy most - making music with a friend. And duet playing leads easily and naturally to competent performance in larger ensembles. (Vol. I – Easy to Medium, Vol. 2 – Advanced).

Flute-Clarinet Duets Vol. 1
A friend and I have been playing clarinet-flute duets from Vol. 2, whose selections are sometimes a little more challenging than we would like. Bought Vol 1 to go back for variety to easier pieces. It's a good review of the basics. We like both volumes a lot.

Just the ticket
An excellent collection of short pieces that are printed in easy to read note-size for those of us who are older. This will keep me praciticing for a long while even when my son is not around to play the clarinet with me.

Good value
Nice chamber music arrangements within a narrower range of difficulty (easy-medium). My husband and I like these a LOT; lots of composers (Bach, Mozart, Kummer, Lacome), and fun-to-play arrangements. We're huge Himie Voxman fans and this is a great volume for the money.

A good basic book for getting started
This was the first book that my clarinet partner and I tackled when we decided to start playing duets. It's good value for the money. Some of these are very simple, others toward the back are more difficult, and you can certainly play faster if you want more of a challenge. It would be helpful if the web site listed the titles found in this book -- this is a complaint about the website and not about the book -- since it's designated as one of their most popular flute/clarinet duet books.

C/B-flat duets...
This book really needs to be advertised as C/B-flat duets. There are many C instruents that could apply and quite a few B-flat instruments also...not just flute/clarinet. E.g., violin/oboe + violin/clarinet/viola. Easy duets. Teaches on how to not just play alone. Good intro to band or smaller ensamble.

Great Fun
A good collection of duets for intermediate players - most of them sound great, with a bias towards baroque style, and fund to play. I bought them to play with my teenage daughter who plays the flute and me the clarinet and we are having great fun together even though she is advanced and me early intermediate.

my opinion
this piece is very exaderated and has a good tune that could be stuck in your head. This piece could be a very good teaching tool. My exprerience with this piece is great i love it. Though i really like this piece it doesn't suit my musical taste. I am in advanced sixth grade band and i went to concert fest. which was fun and it feels good to play with the 7th and 8th graders. I think that some very good pieces are lexington march by: John Edmondson and Sea Song Trilogy by: Larry Clark those are my favorite pieces. But over al this piece was good.
