Derek Hasted writes "I have styled my arrangement of 'Perhaps Love' on the Placido Domingo/John Denver duet version, and Guitars 1 & 2 play the music of the two singers.
In order to make this arrangement effective and easy to play, Guitars 1 & 2 use a Capo on fret 7, giving access to high-pitched arpeggios which are familiar in shape and reliable in performance.
Guitar 3 plays arpeggios in first and second position, so that together there is an almost '12-string guitar sound' in the accompaniment.
Guitar 4 is tuned 6=D to add a little extra depth to the soundscape. It starts as a single line but has arpeggios in the climax of the piece. This edition contains an additional (and entirely optional) Guitar 4 part in bass clef with no arpeggios, to suit a bass guitar or other bass instrument.
The score has simple dynamics which are primarily an indication of where the tune is sitting when it swaps from player to player. Feel free to add more!
