Originally released in 1961 as a single from Roy Orbison's third studio album, "Crying" quickly reached the top of the Billboard charts, and ended up earning both a Grammy Hall of Fame Award and a place on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time. So you really can't go wrong having this one in your gig books! This arrangement for solo cello is a beautiful and soulful adaptation of the original that is sure to pull on your audience's heartstrings -- Orbison's voice translates perfectly to the melodic range of the instrument. No accompaniment part; it stands alone, or can be played with a backing track for solo gigs. This arrangement is rated advanced-intermediate; most of the chart is more of an intermediate level, but I'm adding a level for a big shift up to a few bars of high notes at the end (treble clef/thumb position). This will be learnable for students and sightreadable for professionals.

She is the exclusive arranger for a number of award-winning wedding and event companies all across the United States, including Premiere Wedding Music, Las Vegas Music Oasis, and Impulse Strings, and she has created custom arrangements for many other ensembles all over the world.
