Derek Hasted writes "This is a beautiful piece by Mike Batt, most famously sung by Katie Melua, and it's written in irregular time. That, coupled with a haunting melody, makes for a piece that audiences will be stunned by. This arrangement is for 4 guitars (or a large ensemble), and all the lines are suitable for intermediate players. With a large ensemble, two of the lines can be split into two (single-voice) parts that would suit less experienced players. It's set in the same key as the Katie Melua recording, and the slow pace means that there's plenty of opportunities to add vibrato and show just how sweet a sound guitars can make.
This piece has been played in concert by Hampshire Guitar Orchestra, and a version of it appears on YouTube, recorded live."
