Composed by Salim Haddad. 20th Century,Contemporary,Instructional. Score. 5 pages. Salim Haddad #3682655. Published by Salim Haddad (A0.1004098).

The third of my set of four Etudes, inspired by Kaikhosru Sorabji's Transcendental Studies. A flamboyant piece harking back to Etude No. 1 in its lively character, both works keeping the performer occupied with a barrage of notes. Semiquaver passages accompany sparkling chords that streak down the keyboard. Rapid figurations in both hands contrast with leaping chords. The whole atmosphere is one of exuberance and joy, providing a contrast to the darkness of the first two Etudes and prompting the title, "Éclat". A fun piece to play but quite a challenge! Recorded by the composer. Salim Haddad is an avid pianist and composer from Edmonton, Canada.
