Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565206).Both the VIOLIN and CELLO get to lead with the melody at times making it enjoyable and equally challenging for both players while adding variety for the listeners. The first verse begins with the VIOLIN playing the melody as a solo, followed by the CELLO playing the melody as a solo. For the remainder of the first verse and chorus, the VIOLIN and CELLO form a duet, alternating between melody and harmony. For the second verse, the melody alternates between the CELLO and VIOLIN with no solo parts. The audio sample begins in measure 21, at the beginning of the first chorus where the instruments are both playing.
Ranges for the string instruments are as follows: VIOLIN ~ C#4 to A5; CELLO ~ D3 to D4. For both the VIOLIN and CELLO, all notes are playable in the first position. With the limited range and technical difficulty, this arrangement is an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players.
