Published by Guido Menestrina (A0.828731).Mogens Pedersøn (c. 1583 – 1623) was a Danish instrumentalist and composer. He is considered the most important Danish-born composer before Buxtehude. He studied several years with Giovanni Gabrieli in Venice. In 1620 Pedersøn made a significant contribution to Danish church music with the publication of Pratum spirituale. This is the book where his setting of Victimae Paschali is taken from, actually a collection for 5 voices, but in this case with the addendum of a 6th voice. Transcription by Guido Menestrina, n.b. In the printed transcription Voices are correctly ordered and named as follows: Cantus / Sexta (or Superior) / Altus / Tenor / Quinta / Bassus.
