  • April 03, 2006 Great Book!

This is a great book for both students and teachers. No matter how advanced you are, you can always learn more. Or just touch-up on forgotten rudiments. Anyone interested in playing percussion, be it just the drumset or full on orchestras, should own this book. This book will give...

you a lot of technique and style to your chops.

  • October 18, 2005 Easy or Advanced?

This book is great in many ways. It is good in the next step in the study of snare solos. I go back to it from time to time to practice "sight reading". Try to use it in a concert style, ie closed rolls. If you find it easy then...

add 20,30, 40 or more beats to the tempo marking. And then apply it to the drum set.

These solos are as important today as they were when originally published by this master writer - breaking new ground - a must for accomplished drummers - no pansies here.
