Except for the final measures, this transcription follows exactly the original form as composed by Leon Jessel in 1906. The original piece almost stands on its own for wind quintet, but a few embellishments have been added for texture enrichment and the melody is handed to each instrument from time to time. It's upbeat and fun to play, fitting well into a program for the holiday season.
