Digital Life is based on two funk grooves; one medium-fast reminiscent of Weather Report, and the other half time. The main theme is played in unison by soprano sax, tenor sax and harmon-muted trumpet Modal tenor sax and trumpet solos are followed by a lengthy band tutti made up of dense chords against the drums and a sparse written bass line. The piece builds to a thunderous climactic vamp. Solos for tenor sax and trumpet Doubles: alto 1 on soprano and flute; alto 2 on flute. Lead trumpet to high D. Med diff.
