“You Raise Me Up” is a song whose melody was composed by Rolf Lovland, from Secret Garden, and lyrics by Brendan Graham. It was released in 2002, on the album Once in a Red Moon, sung by Irishman Brian Kennedy. The song was originally composed to be instrumental, called “Silent Story”. Rolf then asked Irish novelist and composer Brendan Graham to write the lyrics, after reading his works.
