Yellow Bird is a vibrant and rhythmic 7 part close harmony vocal arrangement for SSAAAAB. It is 3 minutes long, and would make a great addition to any barbershop or choral concert programme. The song uses the syllable 'ch' to suggest the sound of a bird, on the audio clip, this is represented by a shaker.
The song has Haitian origins and is also know as "Choucoune". It originated in the 19th-century and was composed by Michel Mauléart Monton with lyrics from a poem by Oswald Durand. It was rewritten with English lyrics in the 20th century as "Yellow Bird".
This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
