Wondrous Love is here set for SATB chorus, piano, and solo violin. The introduction is a simple statement of the melody in the violin followed by the first verse in choral unison with mainly chordal accompaniment. The second verse becomes more chromatically dissonant after which the harmony finds a more consonant repose. The dissonance makes this piece a little more challenging but still within the abilities of most choirs. This piece has also been arranged for 2 violins or 2 violins and cello along with keyboard or for choir and piano only.
