String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.766950

Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Bob Delfausse. Contemporary,Gospel,Instructional,Jazz,Sacred. Score and parts. 20 pages. Robert Delfausse #2343583. Published by Robert Delfausse (A0.766950).

This arrangement begins slowly, then starts to swing at a laid-back tempo, and finally swings at a faster tempo.  It's the familiar New Orleans funeral routine: slow on the way out to the cemetery, and fast on the way back.  It's suitable for intermediate players and up; professional ensembles will enjoy playing it.  I've conducted it with my own community orchestra, and found that It works very well for teaching swing.   There is a supportive piano part which, though optional, will work very well if your string bass player doesn't show.  Duration: 2 minutes, 25 seconds.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
