A choral piece inspired by and inspiring to children both young and old, When I Hear Music is a beautiful yet simple composition for unison voices with a flowing melody and heartfelt words. Brian Katona's lyrics and music were inspired by the 2015-2016 third grade class at Maurice Hawk Elementary School in West Windsor, New Jersey, where his children attended at the time, and the result is a touching tribute to the school and the children's expression of the importance of music in their lives. Dr. Katona is a composer, orchestrator, arranger and conductor who has scored documentary films and television pilots, and has composed numerous instrumental, choral and musical theater pieces.
