Watts was a 17th/18th Century pastor, writer, composer,and hymnist from England. Lowry was a late 18th/early 19th Century hymnist from Kentucky. He contributed many songs to the "Kentucky Harmony." Aka "Pisgah," this Scottish tune/early American song was used by Lowry and Isaac Wattst in conveying the hope of Heaven and eternal peace. A modulation to a new key occurs towards the end of B section with the use of a French augmented sixth chord. Section C then introduces a descant by yours truly.
